Via The Server Side, I found this article about UML support planned for Sun's Java IDEs, including NetBeans. They also plan to support BluePrints... which I'm assuming are Profiles (or maybe Templates, extra to UML).

I've just downloaded Compuware's Meta Object Model Editor for NetBeans. And although I use eclipse as my main Java IDE, just having a decent drawing tool for MOF models makes it worth having a whole other IDE sitting around for it to plug into.
The nicest thing about MOME is its autolayout algorithms, which can be customised, but produce pretty diagrams, like this one for the first draft QVT Core model. The tool also exports real MOF 1.4 XMI.
Paul Strooper, David Carrington, Roger Duke, Luke Wildman, Soon Kyeong Kim, and I got $361K over 3 years to reserach "Enhancing Model-Driven Architecture with support for verification and validation".
