fungible

adj : of goods or commodities; freely exchangeable for or replaceable by another of like nature or kind in the satisfaction of an obligation n : a commodity that is freely interchangeable with another in satisfying an obligation

I saw it twice in one day thanks to Anna's TV recommendations I heard it used in Boston Legal (which I quite liked, but enjoyed James Spader on the Practice more), and to George's Eclectika posting about modelling economics using monkey experiments. I think the last time I ran into it was high school economics, or something...
